Clinical Assistant Professor (Dallas, TX) The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an energetic academic radiologist in the Community Radiology Division. Candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or the foreign equivalent, have completed a fellowship training program in a diagnostic radiology subspecialty, and must be in possession of a Texas Medical License or other licensure to practice medicine at institution. Call responsibilities with separate ER in-house coverage for after-hours is required. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
Divisional duties include performing radiograph (X-Ray) interpretations, body CT imaging, and general ultrasound procedures, providing consultation to referring physicians, and teaching imaging and interpretation techniques to radiology fellows, residents and medical students. Call responsibilities are rotated equally among the group, with separate ER in-house coverage for after hours. Candidate will provide services at Parkland Memorial Hospital and Clements University Hospital.
The Community Radiology Division's service locations include Parkland Health & Hospital System, University Hospitals and 6 ambulatory clinics, all with state-of-the-art equipment. The PACs system is integrated with the EMR for easy review of relevant history by the interpreting radiologist. Standardized dictation templates are utilized for ease of decision support in up-to-date radiology interpretations and recommendations. Radiologist-led quality assurance programs ensure patients are safely and optimally imaged.
