The University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Radiology seeks applications for an individual board certified in radiology/nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology with extensive experience in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. A commitment to academic radiology/nuclear medicine, with integration of clinical and basic sciences with other faculty members, is preferred. Other duties include providing clinical service and educational activities for trainees.

The Budgeted Salary Range for this position: $350,000 - $550,000
This appointment is a full time position with academic rank dependent upon qualifications of candidate.

The Department is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, including 5 MR units and two 3T MRI, three multidetector CT scanners, 1 PET CT and five ultrasound machines, one with shear wave elastography capability, as well as a fully dedicated research 3T MRI unit. Advanced MR examinations such as for prostate and rectal cancer, as well as MR Elastography are performed.
The UIC College of Medicine is the country’s second largest Medical School and the Department of Radiology is one of the larger residency programs in the Midwest. Although not mandatory, applicants with past or active research funding are invited to apply; the Department offers a very generous package, including protected research time, for funded investigators.
Candidate must have MD degree in an appropriate field, must possess medical license in Illinois, or eligible. Candidate must also be Board certified or eligible. Applicants must be fellowship trained and board certified in radiology/nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology with extensive experience in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
