The Graduate Assistant Coach for Women’s Rowing will assist with the administration, coaching, and day-to-day operations of the Bryant University women’s rowing program while gaining practical experience in NCAA Division I coaching and program management.

Salary Range: GA compensation includes a full tuition waiver, housing, and a $1,500.00 stipend in Spring and Fall semesters starting August 1. Graduate School is a 2-year part-time program beginning August 2026 through August 2028.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Head Coach with on-water and land-based instruction and student-athlete development during practices and competitions
• Supporting the planning and execution of training sessions, including technical rowing instruction, erg workouts, strength and conditioning coordination, and race preparation
• Assisting with regatta coaching responsibilities, including pre-race preparation, race day operations, and post-competition activities
• Supporting recruiting efforts, including identifying prospective student-athletes, communication, evaluations, and visits in accordance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules
• Assisting with video analysis, technical feedback, scouting, and opponent research
• Supporting team operations including travel coordination, equipment and boat care oversight, line-up preparation, and practice scheduling
• Assisting with academic monitoring and student-athlete support initiatives
• Helping maintain compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional policies
• Assisting with administrative duties such as record keeping, documentation, practice planning materials, and meeting coordination
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Coach

• Rowing experience as a collegiate student-athlete and/or coaching experience at the collegiate, club, or high school level
• Knowledge of rowing techniques, training methodology, and race strategies
• Interest in pursuing a career in collegiate coaching or athletics administration
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaching staff, and campus partners
• Exposure to intercollegiate athletics
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
