The Accounting Department will be accepting applications for an accounting position in our Pickens division. This position will require the successful applicant to provide his or her own transportation to and from the required work site. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in an accounting or finance-related role is preferred.
Balance and post daily deposits, including cash, credit cards, and e-checks, ensuring accurate recording of member payments.
Prepare month-end bank statement reconciliation for bank accounts. Research discrepancies and prepare adjustments as needed.
Maintain and update Capital Credit accounting records including yearly mailings to members. Receive and respond to inquiries, resolve discrepancies and process returned checks.
Be able to complete payroll processing, including data entry, verification of hours, and maintain accurate payroll records in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Payroll processing is bi-weekly.
Maintain a positive attitude and working relationship with other co-op employees, co-op members and the public. Be willing to provide support to other departments when needed.
Ability and willingness to cross-train in key financial processes, including capital credits, accounts payable, daily deposits, payroll backup, and accounts receivable.
Maintain the very highest level of confidentiality and ethics.
Be self-motivated and maintain a dependable work attendance record.
Work scheduled night, weekend, and holiday duty as well as emergencies (and other service interruptions) when requested, 24-hours per day, seven days per week.
Assist in preparing W-2’s, Year End and 1099’s.
12.The successful applicant must be willing to work under a 90-day trial period.
