Wichita’s Edge Sports Complex is seeking a motivated and organized League & Tournament Coordinator to oversee the development and operation of our recreational and competitive sports programs. This position will play a key role in building a vibrant sports community by managing leagues, tournaments, and special events across multiple sports.
This is primarily an evening and weekend position, ideal for someone passionate about sports and experienced in organizing athletic programs.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage leagues across multiple sports including:
Soccer
Basketball
Volleyball
Pickleball
Futsal
Organize and oversee tournaments and special events.
Manage team registration, scheduling, standings, and results.
Coordinate with coaches, teams, and participants to ensure smooth operations.
Recruit, hire, and train referees and game officials.
Manage and supervise league staff and event personnel.
Ensure all games follow league rules, policies, and safety standards.
Handle scorekeeping, statistics tracking, and league communications.
Resolve disputes and enforce league rules during games.
Assist in promoting leagues and increasing participation.
Help develop new pop-up programs and events such as 3-point contests
Qualifications Required
Experience organizing sports leagues, tournaments, or recreational programs.
Knowledge of rules and gameplay for common indoor sports (basketball, volleyball, soccer, etc.).
Experience officiating or working with referees is strongly preferred.
Ability to hire, train, and supervise staff and officials.
Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.

Wichita’s Edge Sports Complex is a premier 105,000-square-foot, multi-sport indoor facility serving athletes, families, and organizations throughout the Midwest. Our climate-controlled complex features basketball, volleyball, futsal, pickleball, and indoor soccer courts, hosting leagues, tournaments, training programs, and community events year-round.
We are seeking a driven, organized, and relationship-focused League & Tournament Director to lead the planning, execution, and growth of our competitive events and league programming.
