The Dean leads the Albert Lepage ‘65 Center for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice, which serves as the strategic heart of the student and residential experience at Hebron Academy. In their role, the Dean ensures that every aspect of the student experience, from residential curriculum and student organization to the conduct system, is rooted in the principles of belonging and agency.
Reporting to the Associate Head of School and supervising the Student Activities Coordinator and Dorm Heads, the Dean acts as a visible leader, advocate, and mentor. By managing the daily lived experience of the community through the Lepage Center, the Dean ensures that student life is not only engaging and vibrant but also fundamentally aligned with Hebron’s commitment to being a diverse and globally-minded community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB)
Serve as the director of the Albert Lepage '65 Center, utilizing the space as a campus hub for community programming, affinity group meetings, and inclusive dialogue.
Coordinate major mission-driven community events and speakers, including the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day program and the International Food Festival.
Oversee student affinity groups, supporting student leaders and faculty advisors in planning inclusive programming and initiatives
Conduct professional development for both faculty and student leaders around restorative practices.

Residential Life and Dormitory Programming
Oversee all aspects of residential life, including dorm culture, student well-being, and inclusive residential programming.
Supervise dorm heads and residential faculty, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure consistent expectations and practices across all dormitories.
Design and facilitate dormitory programming that promotes belonging and constructive dialogue across differences.
Partner with the Associate Head of School to manage the logistics of student move in and move out, room selection, and faculty residential assignments.
Student Support and Well-Being
Work closely with counselors, advisors, health services, and student support teams to ensure a "safety net" of care for all students.
Serve as a core member of the Student Support and Care Team, led by the Associate Head of School, to provide residential and disciplinary context for students in need of intervention.
Student Conduct and Accountability
Oversee the student discipline process, ensuring a fair and restorative application of school policies as outlined in the Community Handbook.
Manage the behavioral follow-up for student attendance trends, addressing the underlying conduct concerns related to absenteeism.
Student Organizations and Programming
Oversee student affinity groups, supporting student leaders and faculty advisors in planning inclusive programming and initiatives.
Supervise the Student Activities Coordinator, providing guidance on the House System and weekend programming to ensure they are inclusive and mission-aligned.
Oversee the selection, training, and mentorship of student leaders, including Proctors and the Honor Council.
Other Duties
Teach one to two academic classes as assigned.
Coach one season of interscholastic athletics.
Live on campus and participate in the residential duty rotation.
Serve in the Administrator on Duty rotation.
Qualifications
5+ years in a boarding school, residential life, or student life environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging work in educational settings.
Sound judgment, high emotional intelligence, and excellent facilitation/communication skills.
