Historic Downtown Campus • Bethlehem, PA • Full-Time • 2026–27 School Year
At Moravian Academy, music isn't a subject - it's a language the whole school speaks. Founded in 1742 and one of America's oldest independent schools, our Historic Downtown Campus in Bethlehem, PA, is seeking a full-time Suzuki Strings Teacher who is ready to bring that language to life for students from Kindergarten through fifth grade.
You will guide young musicians through small group violin lessons, shape ensemble repertoire alongside your colleagues, and co-lead the Lower School Orchestra - all within a school that celebrates the arts as central to a complete education. From Vespers to Lovefeasts to concert performances, your work will resonate far beyond the classroom walls.
Our faculty are curious, collaborative, and deeply invested in the children they serve. At MA, you will join a team that models the same lifelong learning we cultivate in our students - professionals who ask not just what they teach, but who they are becoming. Administrators here are accessible partners, and families are engaged participants in the journey.
We offer competitive salaries scaled to experience, an 8% retirement match, comprehensive medical and prescription benefits, tuition remission assistance for employees' children, and funding for ongoing professional development - including Suzuki training. Wrapped inside a community that is deeply supportive and caring.
Ideal candidates hold a degree in Music Education or Performance and bring demonstrated experience teaching music to children. Experience conducting student ensembles and Suzuki training is strongly preferred. Pennsylvania Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances, along with Mandated Reporter certification, are required prior to the first day.
