Essential Job Functions:

• Assist in overseeing daily maintenance operations, including turf grass care, irrigation, pest control and landscaping
• Support the development and implementation of maintenance plans, considering factors like weather, playing conditions and budget constraints
• Maintain a working mechanical knowledge of golf course equipment
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed including compliance with government regulations
• Ensure that all golf course employees are properly trained on equipment function 
• Incorporate safe working conditions and safe playing conditions into job performance
• Communicate with fellow staff, including but not limited to Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, General Manager and Ownership
• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and holidays based on operational demands
• Maintain up-to-date certifications and licenses in agronomy or turf management

Requirements:

• Must have a Turf Certificate, 2- or 4-year degree in turf grass management or a related field.
• Individuals currently enrolled in a turf program are welcome to apply
• Some golf course experience helpful, but not required as we are willing to train anyone willing to learn.
• Must be able to obtain state pesticide license

In 1799, Colonel John Winstead and family first took possession of the rich farmland that would for the next two centuries be home to them and their descendants.
