Compensation for this full-time position is contingent upon experience:
Minimum Annual Salary: $70,000
Maximum Annual Salary: $90,000

The Assistant Director of the Lions Fund will become part of a dynamic, high-achieving, and collaborative team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and analytical skills. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with all members of the Advancement staff including alumni relations, events, communications, fundraising, and operations. This position reports to the Director of the Lions Fund.
This role supports the continued growth and success of the Lions Fund (annual fund) by implementing year-round strategies that will increase revenue for the School, increase the percentage of philanthropic participation in each of the school’s constituencies, and engage volunteers effectively.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 1 to 3 years of experience working in fundraising, sales, a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position Description:
Helps to identify, support, and manage Lions Fund volunteers throughout the year and especially during Winter Giving Weeks and Spring Giving Days.
Works closely with communications and special events to support department needs.
Is engaged in the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of Lions Fund donors.
Partners with alumni relations to identify prospects and cultivate alumni relationships.
Attends and provides support for department organized events, including Reunion, the spring gala, and stewardship and campaign events.
Helps to promote an understanding and culture of philanthropy in the school community (administration, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and friends).
Qualifications:
Knowledge of independent schools or college development work is an advantage.
Experience in goal attainment by increasing participation, revenue, etc.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Strong computer literacy with knowledge of or ability to learn customer relationship management database, specifically Raiser’s Edge.
Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to work in a multicultural community that values diversity.
