Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for the Texas State Athletic Department. This position is full-time and benefits eligible and reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
The Assistant Coach for Women’s Basketball is responsible for the direct and independent coaching of student-athletes during practice and games, the assessment of prospective student-athletes, creation of individualized development plans for each student-athlete, development of overall game plans, facilitating team meetings, participating in public relations, marketing and fund raising for the women’s basketball program and the athletic department, monitoring the academic progress of women’s basketball student athletes, monitoring summer camps and clinics, and complying with NCAA and Texas State University rules and regulations.
Knowledge of intercollegiate rules and regulations.
Knowledge of general university policies and procedures.
Ability to prepare and conduct training for women’s basketball student-athletes.
Skill in the assessment and recruitment of prospective women’s basketball student-athletes.
Previous experience in coaching collegiate basketball.
