The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire grounds of the club. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent supports the Golf Course Superintendent in overseeing all aspects of golf course, clubhouse grounds, landscaping, irrigation, and tree maintenance to ensure exceptional playing conditions and property presentation. Responsibilities include supervising and training Grounds Staff, coordinating daily maintenance operations, monitoring turf health and agronomic programs, maintaining irrigation systems, assisting with construction and renovation projects, managing inventories and records, and promoting safety and environmental stewardship. The role also assists with budgeting, purchasing, employee development, and communication of course conditions and ongoing projects to management.
Associate's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turf Management, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in golf course maintenance and management
Strong knowledge of agronomy practices, irrigation systems, turf equipment, and plant health
Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to oversee and guide a team
