Wenatchee Golf & Country Club is a private, member-owned club founded in 1923 and located at 1600 Country Club Drive in East Wenatchee, Washington. For more than a century, WGCC has been one of the oldest and most respected golf venues in Central Washington, built on a tradition of strong course conditions, an engaged membership, and deep roots in the Wenatchee Valley community. Beyond golf, the club supports a full membership experience that includes dining, an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and an active calendar of social, family, and junior programming.
The Golf Course
The centerpiece of the club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship layout measuring 6,449 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 71.2 and a slope of 134. Eight playable tee sets across five tee markers make the course accessible to a wide range of players while preserving a genuine test from the tips. The design works with the natural terrain of the valley, featuring tree-lined fairways and well-conditioned greens that reward strategic, thoughtful play. Consistent, high-quality conditioning is central to the club's identity and to member expectations.
The course is supported by comprehensive practice... facilities, including a grass driving range and dedicated short-game areas for both chipping and putting.
Setting and Growing Environment
The club sits in the heart of Washington's apple country, just east of the Cascade Mountain Range and surrounded by orchards, river valleys, and dramatic mountain views. The region is known for abundant sunshine and a high-desert climate, which shapes a distinctive and rewarding turf management environment in north-central Washington. The setting is widely regarded as one of the most scenic in the state and is a defining feature of the WGCC experience.
Tournament History and Standards
WGCC has long been recognized as one of the top courses in the region and has hosted numerous regional championships, including events under the Pacific Northwest Golf Association and Washington Golf banners. The course most recently hosted the WA Golf Men's Mid-Amateur Championship. This competitive history reflects the standard of presentation and playability the club maintains for its membership and guests.
Culture
WGCC is a team-oriented organization that values service, respect, professionalism, and pride in the club. The grounds team plays a central role in delivering the playing conditions and property standards that define the member experience, working collaboratively across departments in a private club environment with strong community ties.
