The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Certified Financial Planner® professional to join our team in a strictly behind-the-scenes, Virtual CFP® Professional capacity.
This role is purpose-built for CFP® professionals who love the "puzzle" of planning and want a flexible schedule. It is suitable for:
The Rising RIA Owner: Advisors who are currently getting their own independent RIAs off the ground and want to supplement their income with flexible, high-level planning work.
The Professional Seeking Balance: Planners who need a non-traditional schedule to accommodate personal commitments, caregiving responsibilities, or family life, allowing you to seamlessly integrate high-level technical work with your lifestyle.

What You Will Do
Working with assigned advisors, you will learn their distinct processes, planning goals, and implementation styles. You will provide:
Strategic Analysis & Case Design: Autonomously review client information to identify core planning issues, hidden risks, and proactive strategic opportunities across varying wealth levels. You are not just doing data entry; you are thinking through planning strategies and discussing recommendations.
Advisor Support & Process Enhancement: Act as a dedicated strategic thought-partner to advisors. Deliver expert guidance that not only translates data into actionable plans but actively improves the advisor's overall financial planning process.
Independent Critical Thinking: Work completely independently in a remote environment, utilizing high-level critical thinking to navigate and build out planning scenarios without micromanagement.
Organized Written Communication: Distill complex concepts and present planning observations, strategic options, and tradeoffs to advisors in a clear, highly organized format.
Time & Project Management: Manage multiple planning cases simultaneously. Because our billing model is tied directly to the execution time of each case, time-tracking and efficiency are essential to maintaining full ownership of your workflow from initial diagnostic review to final deliverables.
Our Commitments & Requirements
Ultimate Flexibility: Set your own hours and work from anywhere. Whether you want to bill 25 hours a month or scale up to 100+ hours, we can accommodate your goals.
Paid Onboarding: During a 90-day probationary period, you’ll earn an hourly rate - $50 per hour for onboarding and training, then $75 per hour for supervised planning work.
Strict Security & Ethical Standards: While we are flexible on time and location, we are inflexible on security, compliance, and ethics. You must adhere strictly to the CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct. You must also adhere to rigorous data protection, privacy protocols, and secure environments to always safeguard sensitive client information.

Technical Alignment: Complete a case study to assess your software and planning proficiency using your preferred planning tool.
Peer Chat & Launch: Chat with a current virtual planner to get an honest, inside look at the role. From there, we move to a Kolbe assessment, standard background check, contract signing, and paid onboarding.
Required Expertise & Qualifications
CFP® Certification & Continuous Learning: An active Certified Financial Planner® designation is strictly required, alongside a strong commitment to engaging in continuing education to stay at the forefront of industry best practices.
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated financial planning experience, mirroring the deep expertise and tenure of our current team members.
Software Proficiency:
Must-Have: Expertise in at least one of the following core financial planning software platforms: eMoney, MoneyGuide, or RightCapital.
Nice-to-Have: Proficiency in ancillary planning and analysis tools, such as Holistiplan, Income Lab, Max My Social Security, and similar programs.
Deep Niche Knowledge: Proven expertise in advanced planning topics. We want to know where you shine! Whether your passion is navigating complex tax issues, modeling equity compensation, or designing advanced trust structures, we aim to match advisor clients directly to your specific technical expertise.
Registration Status: Both Investment Adviser Representative (IAR) and non-IAR candidates are accepted and encouraged to apply. We maintain strict data segregation protocols to ensure a clean process for active IARs seeking OBA approval.
