Compensation: Stipend of $5,500
Rudolf Steiner School is seeking a motivated and reliable Cross Country Coach to lead our Middle School and High School student-athletes during the fall season. This is a coaching opportunity focused on leading athletes during the fall season through conditioning, team-building, and skill development.
Responsibilities:
Plan and lead daily preseason practices for middle and high school runners
Develop age-appropriate conditioning and training programs
Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented environment
Emphasize sportsmanship, effort, and personal growth
Communicate effectively with athletic department staff and families as needed
Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience in cross country, track & field, or distance running preferred
Experience working with middle and/or high school students
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to motivate and support student-athletes of varying skill levels
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule
Weekday after school practices (exact times to be determined)
Occasional flexibility based on weather
